Tonight, during the discussion on fundraising, there were some suggestions made about asking sponsors for specific things such as a laptop that could be used for a drive station. Along the same lines it might be worth asking for things that can be used to help the team but are not directly related to parts for the robot or even specific supplies. Consider the idea of asking companies to donate for something like a cnc machine. There is a company called ShopBot that makes cnc machines that can be used to cut sheet material. Imagine if the team had a cnc machine in the robot room to machine up some parts for the robot. Wouldn't that be cool!
